Workshop "Data Science meets Landscape Ecology"

Event

Starts on
15.06.22

Berlin

Event access: Internal

"Big data" and analyses based on it are crucial for ecology in order to better understand the functioning of ecosystems and - in view of the climate and biodiversity crisis - to be able to propose the most sustainable concepts for the use of landscapes. In the workshop "Data Science meets Landscape Ecology", members of Die Junge Akademie and junior researchers from both research fields will shed light on this challenge from their disciplinary perspectives, discuss suitable data and methods together and initiate interdisciplinary cooperation and research ideas. The workshop is organised by mathematician Nadja Klein and biologist and geographer Anna Cord.
