At the invitation of the Volkswagen Foundation in Hanover, experts from the top management levels of universities and non-university research institutions, science research and policy as well as funding institutions will discuss these questions. The Federal Minister of Education and Research, Anja Karliczek, is expected as the opening speaker.

On behalf of Die Junge Akademie, the ancient historian Christoph Lundgreen will be represented in the panel "Political, legal and financial framework conditions for teaching, research and innovation" on 13 December.
