Two overlapping light grey rectangles form a backdrop. Superimposed on these rectangles are two sets of large black block letters reading “KONFLIKT” and “THEATER,” each slightly rotated. Surrounding the rectangles and text are angular burst lines in a cartoon-style graphic.

At Salon Sophie Charlotte 2026, Die Junge Akademie invites you to a conflict theatre: in an experimental staged reading, conflicts from science, society and culture become the starting point for joint discussion. The basis for this is material from the research and working fields of the ten new members. Different perspectives and voices collide, overlap and make the inner logic, the fractures and the irresolvability of many conflicts audible. Starting at 7 p.m., three rounds throughout the evening invite you to listen, think further and then engage in conversation.

Readers: Nele Trebs and Hans-Jochen Wagner
