To mark the European Capital of Culture Year 2025, the Idea Lab will take place in Chemnitz from 3 to 5 November 2025. The Idea Lab is traditionally used by members to discuss new ideas and develop project ideas in a free and direct exchange. In addition to the joint exchange of ideas, various activities are also planned as part of the European Capital of Culture programme.

      Ethnographic research has now found its way into many disciplines – and yet its epistemological premises, political implications and potential for resistance are often given too little consideration. The Summer Academy provides a forum for discussing ethnography as a contested epistemological practice within various disciplinary contexts.
