In 2024, the European Federation of Academies of Sciences and Humanities (ALLEA) will convene in Berlin for its annual General Assembly from 22-23 May. At the same time, the European Network of Young Academies invites delegates from Young Academies from all over Europe for its Network Meeting. In joint sessions, ALLEA and ENYA will strengthen the bond between both institutions and stimulate exchange and collaboration between its members.
Registration to either event is now possible via alleageneralassembly.org/registration through 15 March.
ALLEA General Assembly 2024
The ALLEA General Assembly annually convenes academies of sciences and humanities from almost 40 countries across the Council of Europe region. General Assemblies are hosted by ALLEA Member Academies and the programme typically consists of the internal business meeting of academy delegates, and a scientific symposium that is open to the public. The symposium explores pressing topics from the fields of science, society, and policy, and provides a platform for international, interdisciplinary, and cross-sectoral debate. The business meeting addresses governance, strategy, and policy matters and is restricted to Member Academies’ delegates.
The General Assembly 2024 will be hosted in Berlin by its three German academies: German National Academy of Sciences – Leopoldina, Union of the German Academies of Sciences and Humanities, and Die Junge Akademie.

European Young Academies Meeting
Die Junge Akademie is hosting the European Young Academies Meeting in Berlin together with the Global Young Academy. The meeting will take place 22-23 May 2024 under the theme "Young Academy Collaboration in a Dynamic Geopolitical Landscape". Attendees are cordially invited to join the informal get-together on 21 May.
